Race against the rain
Route: Diyarbakır to Siverek, TURKEY
Distance: 85 km
Time: 9am - 5:30pm
Uncertain Weather
The morning looked bright and sunny, with patches of clouds above the city. Today we've committed to cycle to the next town regardless of the forecast suggesting rains/shower.
Tea Break at School
Our CouchSurfing host from Diyarbakir worked at a school on our way out, so after 20km we had a little break. It was fun visiting the students in their classroom and trying to inspire them with our world cycling journey.
Mother Nature got us
After cycling over 60km, with only 26 to go, we experienced some rain. The first was short-lived, but the second one was very heavy. We seemed refugee at a petrol station and they kindly let us warm up next to the heater.
Safe and Sound
We arrived in Siverek safely with our host warmly welcoming us to a meal at a delicious kebab restaurant. We'll stay here for two nights.
