American Express will launch its first crypto reward, “Abra Credit Card.” This card is made possible through the partnership between American Express and crypto management platform Abra.
Users transacting with this card will receive a cashback in crypto. According to the announcement, users will be able to choose a different cryptocurrency to receive the cashback in, but receiving it in Abra’s ERC-20 Crypto Perx (CPRX) tokens will give users extra perks. Users of the card will also enjoy the benefits of the American Express Network, including many offers for travel, dining, shopping and etc.
As with any credit card, users will need to go through the standard credit application procedure.
This card is expected to be available to users in late 2022.
