"Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life"
Success isn't measured by monetary value, but rather by quality of life. One's Quality of life is dependent on how a person is able to manage the Valleys and Peaks of life. No one person, regardless of economic status has ever lived life problem free. Miserable people live in poverty and the suburbs and vice versa. I think one thing the forefathers of America understood is that, happiness isn't a static state of existence nor is there any one accomplishment or experience that can bring a person complete satisfaction in life.
Therefore, no dollar amount could ever end one's pursuit for happiness. This is important for those who are in pursuit of happiness because it is easy to become the dog chasing his tail. What I mean is that, happiness won't be found at the end of the rainbow, the pot of gold is a yellow brick road. Anticipation brings about an extremely potent euphoric feelings that can't be felt once the final destination has been reached. Typically when people do something great, they set out on another journey to accomplish something far more challenging.
Creating constant happiness should not be the goal, balance the best anyone can hope for in life. This is why I choose a picture of Bruce Lee because balance can only be obtained through consistency. Bruce Lee's physical capabilities as well as mastery and creation of a new martial art can only be accomplished through lots and lots of repetition. Through Lee's constant training he was able to accomplish feats like no other, however, he could have never achieved this level of physical manipulation if he had not had a passion for his craft. As a result of his consistency and dedication with his craft and art he was able to enjoy a quality of life that allowed him to do what he loved. He didn't do one Two-finger push-up or beat Chuck Norris and say that's it I am now completely happy and satisfied , no, he continued with his training and fighting because it was the journey, the yellow brick road in which he found his happiness.
That's my word for the day, The Pursuit of Happiness is constant and never ending! A work-in-progress.
