Bob Marley's father was White, bet you didn't know that?
His name was Captain Norval Marley, and he was a marine officer and plantation overseer in Jamaica. He was of English descent specifically the Sussex area.
Apparently, at the ripe old age of 60, he decided to "breed" a young black 17 year old girl named Cedella, and thus Bob Marley was brought into this world. On a sadder note, this father was not really "around", thus Tuff Gong was raised by a single mother.
Very interesting. Thought I'd share this little known fact with the world.
