Hello everyone.

I was having a laugh earlier as Nando's was used as a bribe to get some stock delivered. The warehouse normally has bookings, but we didn't do one and bypassed the system with some Nando's. Only in Africa you might say. It got the job done so that is what counts I suppose.

It was founded a few years ago in a suburb in Johannesburg called Rosettenville. The guy who had the first restaurant was named Fernando Duarte hence where Nando's the name comes from. That was back in 1987, within 10 years he had over 100 restaurants in the country. Today they are in more than 30 countries with the basics roughly the same. The menu may be tweaked for certain customs maybe I am not sure. I say that as I know Mc Donalds in Russia sells beer, a small tweak to the menu.

I have always had my chicken hot but maybe in a country that has hot food it may be a mild. I used to drive quite a distance when I lived in the UK to get my Nando's fix but see they are now everywhere. As a fast food outlet it is one of the healthier options with grilled chicken and salad.

When last did you have your fix and have you had their extra hot yet?
