Support at the Austrian Grand Prix last year.Max has support that no other driver has and why the Dutch Grand Prix had to happen. Formula One has a driver that appeals to the public and they can use that to grow the sport.
Ever since Max Verstappen was driving for Red Bull his army of Dutch fans has grown and grown into a mass of orange support. Most drivers and teams have their supporters but what Max has is something none of the others have and that is a travelling army of support wherever the team is driving. When the television cameras run around the track following the cars orange is the dominant color amongst the racing fans. In the past it was more than likely red for the Ferrari team, but that has all changed.

No surprise that Red Bull have orange shirts for the Belgian Grand Prix. If this race was open to the public it would only be a sea of orange.
The next race is in Belgium which would normally be like a home race for Max as this was the closest race his fans could attend. Now the Dutch have their own home race which unfortunately was cancelled this year due to lock down restrictions. I think one of the reasons for creating a home race was to grow his fan base even more and turn it into a cash cow.

Wherever you go around the world today if there is a Grand Prix there will be loads of Orange support for Max. I am looking forward to next years home race in Holland.
Max is very marketable as he has a personality and a sense of humour. Not only is he successful out on the track but his banter over race radio shows what a cool customer he really is. Telling his racing engineer to turn the engine up to a higher mode as his granny can drive faster that that are just some of his classic comments.
Max is highly competitive and is driven by wanting to win and be successful. His team often tell him to hold back and conserve the tyres and he tells them the opposite that he is going to go flat out and catch whoever is ahead of him. Normally that is Hamilton or Bottas these days as he has shown over every other team that he is in a class of his own. Week in and week out he is always challenging at the top and one could only imagine what he could do if he had a car that could match the Mercedes dominance.

I do believe that Max is the next World Champion and great that will dominate the sport for years to come. The Orange Army of Dutch supporters know this and it is only a matter of time.He has a support base like no one else and he can only become bigger in the popularity stakes once he has his home Grand Prix next year.
Red Bull and their marketing arm have obviously seen the possibilities and will no doubt market Max to the full. I have never been a fan of Max but his attitude over the last two seasons has won me over. His passion and will to win not wanting to settle just for a podium position will inspire his team to pull out all the stops. I believe he will be a World Champion within the next 3 years as Red Bull know the talent they have cannot be wasted.
