This came through my Twitter feed today and this is actually good news if we look back what was happening a few weeks back as 18 292 110 is much bigger than where we have been. One has to also keep in mind this is not all blockchains, but blockchains that have registered with Blocktivity. For example I know VeChain is processing over 2 million clauses per week which is still a fraction of where they need to be yet they are not registering on this site. There is no reason why Hive cannot hit 50 million sometime this year on weekly activity as that is the numbers we need to be aiming for.
On the week ending 25th December we didn't even register in the top 5 and the week ending the 18th December we were in position 5.
What this highlights is what we already know and that is the potential Hive has to succeed and out perform everything else. This is nothing new and why we just have to keep on building as what we have here other blockchains would love to have. If we look at ADA which has so much going on yet they cannot even register 0.1% for activity again highlighting where Hive is ahead as activity is crucial as the blockchain is being used.
If we think back to the when the last Bear market hit we had thousands of users who vanished into thin air. Even now on the blogging side I wouldn't say we are off the charts so I expect this activity is coming from other areas like gaming.
Many of us have always said it will be a DApp that propels Hive and I also believe this will be the case. We are all fighting for a bigger slice of the pie as everyone wants to be successful. There is room for everyone to succeed however as we all offer something different. All it is going to take is 1 DApp to catch everyone's attention along with what is already here.
Looking at these stats should make everyone bullish on Hive as we know how much work still lies ahead and what has already been achieved. This year is about more of the same and not slowing down as this is a gradual process that takes time and plenty of it.
When we hit the Bull market in 2025 or whenever it happens Hive should be in a far stronger position to capitalize and surely the ATH will be pushed much higher next time around. In November 2021 we had a taste of what is to come as there is far more next time around. This is all exciting news and why it is important to keep on building your stake.
