Did quite a few laps today and trying to get up to 50 per session which would be 1km. Having a lap pool cannot be wasted.

The next week this will be my office and the only interruptions will be closing the sliding doors so the monkeys do not come inside. We have already had 3 or 4 visits plus we are waiting on the school of banded mongoose who rip up the gravel garden in the front looking for earth worms. This is not normal for us and why it is fun expecting the unexpected.

I need to be quicker with the camera as we have buck here as well that stroll up to the fence by the swimming pool. The monkeys are a nuisance and considered more of a pest even though these properties have been built in their natural habitat. I had one cast a shadow on me earlier peeping over the edge of the roof and was actually quite funny having a peeping tom. They are opportunists so they are on the scrounge for food and you cannot feed them because they would then become a problem.

The nature reserve is a protective area for Mambas and Pythons and have not seen any and do not expect to see any. When this exclusive residential estate was built snakes were a problem in the early days and not today.

Some resident has let loose domestic rabbits which are breeding like rabbits do and will attract more pythons as this is an easy food source. The residential properties are not allowed pets besides fish in a tank so this letting the rabbits loose was intentional and no mistake.

Even with all the distractions and a small mistake with the dates (not on our side) so that meant an extra night in the hotel last night we are all settled in. I managed to get quite a bit of work done and lets just say Monday and Tuesday is chock a block full of appointments and may have to extend by another day if any more pop up tomorrow.

When the trip was arranged I was not so keen, but now I am here it is not so bad and whilst I am here need to make this time count because it should be fairly profitable once a few extra clients are landed. The week or so that was planned was more about looking after a family member who had a fall and then throwing in over seeing the revamping of the property we will be selling. The business side of things just so happened that the timing is good and I am questioning myself tonight do I now need to stay longer. Funny how we are as I often do not want to do something like a party or something and once you are there then you end up having a great time.

My business partner has invited us to a family birthday party on Saturday and I am not sure what to expect and will most likely have no choice not to go as it may be seen as rude. Granny will have to stay and look after the patient so she is excused and I will just go with the flow for once. More networking opportunities and possibly a good time with the rugby kicking off 11pm South Africa time it could be a very late night.
