I am sure many of you have seen the news stories about the Afghans trying to draw their money out of the banks, but there is no one to help them. It is obviously too late and most likely many would have lost their savings which is a sad reality. This is an eye opener as who knows if any of us could end up in a similar situation as things change and when they do it is too late.
Cryptocurrencies are and will play a more important role in the future thankfully and this kind of situation doesn't ever need to happen again. Governments are trying to prevent mass adoption for their own selfish interests and are not thinking of yours. Their pushing back is only delaying the inevitable.
How many people in the world could comfortably walk away from their bank account knowing they still have funds that are accessible? With crypto you have choices and why it is important to have some at least and to keep adding to what you have and to keep adding over the next few years.
5 years ago crypto was seen as a risk and a gamble and you can understand that as Bitcoin was going up and down like a yo yo. Many of the projects back then are no longer around so sometimes getting in too early doesn't always pay. Funny to think that 2021 and we are still saying those getting involved in crypto are still early yet many of us have been around for years.
For myself personally I don't see crypto as a lifeline but the answer to the future and generally believe within the next 5 -10 years living off my investments will be a reality. Maybe more of a passive income who knows but whatever it will be it will be worth something. I am not leaving my future up to chance as no one knows what lies ahead for any of us. I do not want to be reliant on a centralized institution whether I can get hold of my life savings or not.
I expect over the next 5 years we will see banks being replaced by alternative options within the crypto family and that is where I am heading first. There will be no need for money as staying in crypto is how I want to live my life as money will be a thing of the past as we know it. I haven't handled any cash for nearly 2 years now and honestly don't see the need for it.
