Epiphany

As paper wrapped leaves burn in the breaze

and amber gold sets mind at ease,

the clouding thoughts begin to cease.

Neglected neural sparks complete,

and something simple, now in me,

found its way and came to be.

Embibe, inhale, and blow smoke to the air.

It always was and ever will be,

but newly perceived, stirs from dream.

As if all that's known's now less concrete.

Yet somehow life feels more complete.

It's these moments in life I seek,

when to wisdom you're granted a peek.
