Crayons in corners, half-baked dreams,
Ideas tied with tangled seams.
A shopping list for thoughts long gone,
A mixtape playing all day long.
Sticky notes of "what ifs" float,
Half a poem, half a quote.
A flash of brilliance, gone too fast—
It blinked, it sparked, it didn’t last.
Scribbled memories, folded tight,
Next to fears that bark at night.
A to-do list I forgot to do,
And theories that might not be true.
Maps of futures, roads not taken,
Jokes I laugh at, then awaken.
Soggy gum and broken rules,
Old debates from inner schools.
A compass made of anxious ticks,
And dreams that morph like magic tricks.
My brain bag’s wild, it doesn’t lie—
It’s chaos, art, and lullaby.
This poem is my entry for the Sparks Fly Contest under the theme What's in Your Bag, Brain?
