Jamaican Accommodation Fully Booked!

Last week I mentioned we are staying at Coco La Palm on Seven Mile Beach for part of our winter vacation. Today I am excited to announce we have chosen the Rockhouse Hotel for the remainder of our holiday. We wanted to do a beach/cliff combo all while avoiding all-inclusive resorts and seem to have found the perfect mix.

The Rockhouse looks breathtaking, it's situated on the cliffs of West End, Jamaica. The amazing photos and quality reviews made it difficult not to reserve a room at this place. We probably won't be leaving the property much during the time except to eat at neighbouring restaurants. Negril is famous for both the beach and the cliffs so I'm glad to have found a great spot to stay on each.

The cliffs of Negril are best known for the fabulous sunsets and Rick's Cafe, one of the most famous bars in the world where people sit and watch brave folks jump off the cliffs. This is often a day trip for guests of some of the all-inclusive resorts in the area, luckily for us, we are staying nearby. By avoiding big all-inclusive resorts, we have the flexibility to do whatever we want, not having to worry about getting our monies worth and stuffing our faces at the buffet.

I can't wait to work with the guys from ReggaeSteem about filling in the details for our trip now that the accommodation is fully booked. One thing we are interested in is experiencing local nature, Barney's Flower & Hummingbird Garden will likely be a stop, I wonder if cats are allowed? Some other tours are going to be in the works too.
