It really feels good to be able to take your child sometimes to the mall, the park, or any playground; places you never got to visit or experience when you were a child yourself.
Seeing him smile and be happy makes me happy, too. It's his first time inside a playground like this, and the way he looks around, he seems in disbelief that he gets to play amidst so many balls and see other energetic kids engaging in various activities.
He really wants to climb up and play on the slide, haha. But at his age, he isn't quite ready for it yet, so his father really needs to hold onto him while I keep watch from below.
He tried out all the toys inside, and I could tell he was absolutely delighted and having a great time—especially since everything looked so different and unlike the toys he has at home. For me, the money and time we spent giving him this experience were totally worth it.
He didn't really like this ride because whenever his dad spun it, he would tumble around inside, so he only stayed on for a short while before getting off—haha.
He really wants to climb up there and go to the top to use the big slide; there are even some kind kids who invite him to go up. However, we can't let him go up alone or entrust him to other kids while sliding, because at his age, he really isn't ready for that kind of play yet.
So, for now, he just climbs up while his dad holds onto him, haha.
There he is—just looking for now; once he's big enough to play there, he'll enjoy it and eventually play to his hearts content. Hehe.
It's his first time here, and mine too. I mean, I always see this kind of kids' play area inside the mall whenever I visit, but I've never actually gone inside since I was a child—seriously. It turns out the feeling of playing here is really something else; actually, it's not just my child who's happy to be here—i am too haha.
After a long and tiring play session, the next stop was to eat at Jollibee. Haha, eating at Jollibee is simply part of the Filipino lifestyle—especially for kids— because, as the saying goes, "Sa Jollibee bida ang saya." 😄
Being able to give him experiences that I missed out on during my own childhood is a huge achievement for me as a mom; it is exactly what I want for my children—to ensure that, even though we aren't well-off, he can still do the things and visit the places that other children sometimes get to experience.
