"Being 'Deaf' is not a hindrance to hear your heart's cry."
INTRODUCTION
Once, there was a lady named Mira. She was so persistent in her dream to become a millionaire. Her friends and even his family would laugh at her ambition. For them, that was silly and impossible because she was weak and slow. That scene was always the usual one. Friends, round in circles, started talking trivial things, and most of the time it was Mira who they mocked behind her back. Mira's best friend, Shella, on the other hand, always believed her that one day she would become a millionaire.
A TRY
Fate was so cordial with her, as if concurring with her dream, when the Graceful Dance Center was searching for an incredible dance talent. Since Mira was good at dancing, she took advantage and undoubtedly came for an audition with her best friend. She made the juries proud of her as she danced gracefully and received good feedback from the juries despite her lack of musical accompaniment. She waited for the result patiently; however, there's someone who surpassed her when this certain contender stunned the juries with her dancing skill, matched with a standing ovation from the audience. Mira lost the contest and the hope of receiving a million prize for the championship level, sadly. Yet Mira endured the test of time and moved on from that loss. Life continued as usual.
DISCOURAGEMENT
In school, Mira and Shella finished their group project together after class, so she got home one Friday afternoon very late. Her neighbors laughed at her so madly, imitating her dancing moves as they saw her approaching. But she ignored it. Nothing and no one could ever beat her desires in life, as she spoke in the back of her mind.
As soon as she arrived at their house, her brothers and sisters reprimanded her for being late and charged her passion for dancing as the reason for going home late.
Shella her bestfriend tried to explain everything in behalf of Mira, but they were deaf to her plea. Life then became tough for Mira when even her family was not commending her for her dream and as if she's always at fault. Though she may not fully understand their words, their actions showed anger, hatred, and unbelief towards her. She became upset, and days became long and unhappy.
APPOINTED TIME
Until an appointed time came for Mira when an independent foundation came to their school and searched for qualified students whom they would be granting full scholarships. Mira was one of the chosen scholarship grantees. Soon she graduated from college, and because of her persistent attitude in everything she did, she was hired in the US as a sign language interpreter, and later she built her own school specializing in hearing impaired or deaf people. She earned not only millions but millions of dollars. Mira also helped her family and friends despite being humiliated in the past. She also engaged in charity work, especially for people with special needs.
LESSON
Truly, life is unpredictable. We cannot judge someone's future based on the physical incapacities of other people. Sometimes, it only takes persistence, believing in oneself, and most especially trusting God to make dreams come true.
REVELATION
Mira being deaf, though, was not a hindrance for her to succeed in life. In fact, I personally believe, that her incapacity to hear has helped her more to become what she is today because her ears are not just deaf physically but also deaf to negative criticism.
