We look for ways in which cultures can become crisscrossed and enlightening while moving beyond stereotypes associated with certain culture.Cross culture's weekly bulletin aims to bring to light all authors whose articles would otherwise remain unnoticed and lost in the platform, therefore we tend to reward all authors who create quality posts, giving them a fair chance to establish themselves on the platform.

Can we escape stereotypes? I think not because they are social constructions that typify groups in which we are included and we include others. The concept of stereotype is linked to perception and prejudice that we commonly associate with negative behaviors, even when it is not necessarily so. The truth is that stereotypes unify and generalize, becoming vague categories, most of the time, without foundation.

Stereotypes are those ideas or thoughts that some social group or person has about another, which generate a pre-established impression.Today I will share with you about the different stereotypes we face depending on where we live, how I feel about it and if it causes any negative effect on me.I am Venezuelan and I currently live in Venezuela, where there are several stereotypes and well confined

The world at large always have one thing to tag my country Nigeria with, the moment people who are not from my country hear the name, they always have something to say. Some will say it out loud, others will say it within themselves and some fraction will go as far as staying away from us. But hey, just like every other place in the world, we have our flaws (if not for those people that always do those things that make the world see us the way they do though, only if they just behave for once 🤦🤦), even with our flaws, we still have attributes that other places wish they have.

Say no to stereotypes, do not label us as something we are not; we are not vegetables, we are not objects, we are simple humans like others that live that have unique characteristics and we cannot be pigeonholed under a label or a name other than our own.
