Hello beautiful people!
This is
@lafeedekalarka. Welcome to the Crossculture's Weekly digest where we bring you up to date with some amazing posts from members across communities of different cultures, focusing on but not limited to bilingual posts.
The Cross culture community, was created by
@whatamidoing. It is a community which supports authors who write articles that share the realities of different cultures first hand, as well as our different perspectives and experiences. We look for ways in which cultures can become crisscrossed and enlightening while moving beyond stereotypes associated with certain culture.
The authors whose articles have been chosen for this week are all writing content of high quality, which focus on the Various topics:
Cross culture's weekly bulletin aims to bring to light all authors whose articles would otherwise remain unnoticed and lost in the platform, therefore we tend to reward all authors who create quality posts, giving them a fair chance to establish themselves on the platform.
Howbeit, that's only the half of it!!!
After careful selections, our curators which come from diverse cultures will single out the most outstanding articles among all those curated to create a weekly shout out to the authors of the Top posts of the week.
Therefore, here are this week's awesome authors and their posts.
Am I authentic among you?
By
In this post, the author takes us to an inner trip of reflection and realizations, from the experience of someone who faces adulthood.
"Or in the dormitory where I live, for example, I prefer to obey the leadership, even though it is against the principles of life that I hold. There are many other examples that show how my individuality was lost in the midst of the crowd."
Agro-tourism in a Dragon Fruit garden in Padang Sakti Village, Lhokseumawe, Aceh
By
Here, we visit a tourist farm in Indonesia that grows a very exotic fruit... you have to see it!
"Every day there are many fruits that can be harvested and picked by residents who visit the dragon fruit garden. Some visitors pick directly from the tree and eat directly in the dragon fruit garden, and some even bring them home after being picked."
Da Nang encouraging recycling by being cute
By
Showing a nice eco iniciative carried out in a town in Vietnam, the author makes a reflection upon the dangers of plastic trash for the seas.
"Plastic is everywhere and you are handed it on a daily basis even when it is clearly not necessary. There have been many instances where I am in a supermarket with my reusable cloth bags or a backpack and the staff can see that I have these things and STILL reach for the plastic bags and likely would use them if I didn't intervene."
A Day in my life: Everyday is a Hustling Day
By
This is a fresh narrative of an ordinary day in the life of a Nigerian man. Its familiar language and authenticity will make you read until the end!
"I wake up as early as 5am in the morning and then I have a moment of offering thanksgiving prayers to God on behalf of myself, family and friends as well as committing my plans for the new day to God. When brightness must have taken over the day, I then go into doing my morning chores such as washing of plates, pots and other cooking utensils, sweeping of the floor and fetching of water."
