Maybe it’s because I’ve reached my forties this year or the love of poetry has sprouted back in me.
Whatever the case, I’ve been really in a poetic mood.
I’ve even recently tried my hand at including some poetic writings in my posts. Not necessarily rhyming (at least not the entire post) but more of a haiku feel trying to express deeper thoughts and leaving a deeper impression.
Poetry is so peaceful and inviting. It sharpens your mind as you try to perceive and interpret what the author is trying to say. It removes you from where you are and takes you to another place of thought and connection.
I love when my mind is challenged to think outside the lines of regular speech. You literally put your self in the author’s shoes trying to feel and see where their coming from.
I’m on the hunt to find Hivers that have this poetic feel. Whether it’s haiku or a sonnet or just the way they express themselves I am wanting to read more of these types of writings here.

I’ve been such a big ball of emotions lately and reading poetic lines have really been good for me. The calming of words is real and it’s healthy for a soul such as mine.
