Este parque es muy agradable para pasar la tarde, solo o con familia, con la novia o amigos, se puede ver este arte de esculturas del gato y sus novias al aire libre y cada una tiene una fortaleza en algo, cerca al lugar podemos encontrar varios restaurantes para disfrutar de la gastronomía caleña.
Hernando Tejada, fue el artista que se inspiro para hacer este gato, el cual mide 3.5 metros desde su base, luego varios artistas fueron creando sus novias y ubicando cerca al gato del rio, el Bulevar del rio y en otros puntos de la cuidad; las primeras esculturas se inauguraron el 19 de octubre de 2006 y se han convertido en un escenario imperdible para los visitantes.
