Little is known by the public, within Curtin University Malaysia lies Wan Gastro, a food kiosk that sells its original blend of Tex-Mex Cuisine. Maybe I have eaten a lot of Tex-Mex cuisine yet have never care to realise the word or the meaning of "Tex-Mex" until I look up from Wikipedia recently. Other than as the nickname for the Texas Mexican Railway, Tex-Mex is actually a fusion between American and Mexican cuisines. This type of cuisine originated from the Tejanos, Texan who are of Mexican descent.
Wan Gastro is located at the Chancellery Plaza, which is in front of the Library. The area has an open air space with tall ceilings and arc which directs air ventilation. The cafe also comes with wooden chairs and tables with metal frames that make it to have a little classical feel for photographs.

The surrounding
The main servings of Wan Gastro are burgers, hotdogs and sandwiches. They also have tidbits like fries, nachos and buffalo wings as well as ice-creams. So over here I am going to introduce the menus.
For the three main servings, we can upgrade them to set meal with only an addition of RM5.00 which comes with fries and drinks (homemade fruit punch, homemade sweet tea or bottled drinks)

As for tid bits, there is two upgrade choice either to add a drink with only RM1.00 or upgrade to set meal which comes with fries and drinks with only RM5.00.
I like the set meals here because they have big portions.

There are also special dishes which are different for each weekdays. Each dish comes with a choice of Rice or 2 piece of Toasted Bread and drink (Fruit Punch or Sweet Tea).
Sometimes there will be something out of the menu as well. These are fresh baked chicken pie and apple pie.
So all in all, if you happen to drop by Curtin University Malaysia or if you are just around the corner, you should really stop by Wan Gastro. Here are some of our photos taken there.
