Today, I'll present you with the oldest village from Portugal. If you're an enthusiast traveller you should think about visit this place, called Ponte de Lima!
Ponte de Lima, is the oldest vila, head of a municipality, in Portugal. It is part of the district of Viana do Castelo. The population in 2011 was 43,498, in an area of 320.25 km². The town proper has about 5,125 inhabitants.
Ponte de Lima is a magical land, full of centuries and stories. This village has a Roman bridge that is the main monument of the county. This bridge joins the river banks with more than two thousand years ago. The connection of the land to the river Lima is a very intense reality in the people of this place, making it one of the most beautiful places to walk and relax.

Ponte do Lima é uma vila portuguesa no Distrito de Viana do Castelo, região do Norte e sub-região do Minho-Lima, com cerca de 5125 habitantes. É caracterizada pela sua arquitetura medieval e pela área envolvente, banhada pelo Rio Lima.
Ponte de Lima é a vila mais antiga de Portugal. É uma terra mágica, repleta de séculos e de histórias.
Ponte de Lima tem uma ponte romana que é o principal monumento do concelho. Esta ponte une as duas margens há mais de dois mil anos. A ligação da terra ao rio Lima é uma realidade muito intensa nas gentes deste lugar, tornando-o um dos mais bonitos lugares para descansar e relaxar.Vou partilhar algumas fotografias da visita que eu lá fiz.
