I woke up this mornin'
With the goddamn Covid Blues.
Said, when I woke up this mornin',
Had those goddamn Covid Blues.
I was doin' OK yesterday,
But then I turned on the TV news...

Fancy talkin' head told me
"You need to cover your face."
Sexy weather babe too,
"Jus' stay home; gotta shelter in place.
Boogie Virus gonna getcha!
It's killin' the whole damn human race."

"You can't go to work now,
It's not safe to go to school.
Don't get on that train, that aeroplane,
'Social' distance, follow the rule.
Mask up between bites, now,
You think Gavin's a fool?"

I stopped and thought for a minute;
It don't make no sense to me.
Sat down and thought a bit longer...
Still makes no goddamn sense to me.
Had enough of this bullshit!
I'm turnin' off my TV.
