Think I got lucky one year. Went around searching for places that sold sweet violet, because my mother claims her mom used to grow them indoors (not likely!). Finally found one nursery trying to sell them off cheap because they were done blooming, and he probably realized they were more like invasive weeds than typical annuals. If you have a local nursery that offers to do special orders, you can probably request them to order the pink sweet violets. Most nurseries only sell the Early Violets, which are not pink or sweet.

This year they bloomed more than past years. I don't know why this flower loves the dark icy cold so much.
