Hello! First I thank you for appreciating my facepainting!
I did apply a base, a Kryolan foundation so the color would not stick too much to my skin as it takes some time to remove it.
It took me a couple of hours , I do not keep track , I just work on it until I feel it is finished. The tridimensional canvas is very good. I can suggest a feeling through color and posture. The words can only try to describe what was in my soul.
I did my own photos, I think it can be considered a self portrait in this case as I depicted my own inner struggle with creativity. It seems quite common that we become more creative when we are struggling with something. Even with creativity in itself.
it is more of a dialog that you have created between the soul of the artist and the viewer.
Beautiful and well said! For me it is quite difficult to open up emotionally when I struggle so painting my feelings feels easier. My soul still gets exposed, but in a manner that I feel it is somehow protected as the message is not understood by everybody who is watching.
