Hey! I do agree that this is a "hot" topic as you can get burned if you approach it with the wrong people. It's like walking on eggshells when talking about parenting, kids and how some might do it all wrong. Most people dislike when being told they are wrong, and with parenting is even more complicated.
I admire that you have enough awareness to realize your own reasons for not wanting to become a mother yet. I believe that being honest with yourself is the first step in becoming a better person. One has to admit a problem in order to solve it.
I think that despite the fact this is a very delicate issue, we should talk more about it. Having a child is seen as something to check on the list, which ain't quite simple. Parenting is a tough job and not everyone is equipped for it. I look at myself and realize that I still have a lot of inner work to do before considering motherhood. I am sure that I want to drop some of my bad habits which would not be ok if I would to become a mother. It is a tough pill to swallow to admit that for the moment you are not fit. Unfortunately many of the not so self aware rush into conceiving and they do the most damage to their kids as they have a lot of unresolved trauma. I wish everyone could have the courage to grab their own demons and fight them before parenthood.
Thank you a lot for reading and have a great weekend!
