Hey! This kind of podcasts are really helpful, on this note, I just finished listening to the latest one from Jay Shetty, where he talk with Oprah and Brian Perry about a similar topic in regards to trauma and also they comment on the latest book written by the two What happened to you. The podcast was so good that I ordered the book instantly, I can't wait for it to arrive.
Your comment is very well thought and I like how you think. Too many parents refuse to assume responsibility when their kid turns into a problem. I guess it shows the lack of inner work.... I admire that you are so self aware and realize that first you have to clean your own closet before trying romantic relationships. Bringing up old stuff into a new interaction is never good as no one should suffer because we have not healed
I believe that the moment when someone puts back all the pieces and realizes why they have trauma and how can they heal... Then it is a crucial moment, it is the moment of change, when that person can completely turn their life around. That moment is marked by fear, anxiety, expectations, novelty, progress, excitement.
We are responsible for our own healing and doing the process on our own will definetely help when we will become parents
Thanks so much for reading and leaving your thoughts on the matter, I appreciate!
