When you experience a heartbreak, it's a terrible thing. It's like a cloud of sorrow is sitting still over your head, pouring sadness into your soul. Frustration, rejection, futile expectations, unmet desires and indifferent silence.
It's difficult to get over a disappointment in love, but there is always hope that the skies will get clear of nasty clouds and bring light again, bring love. A lover who will help you to grow, not to hurt you even more. Time heals and the right person will know how to love you right, like you need it. This is a reality hard to see for those under the clouds of pain, but it is still there as a perspective.
This is a rough sketch conveying in ink the emotional turmoil of romantic separation and the masks of happiness that people put while inside they are crumbling. These masks are often rarily seen on social media where people post happy vibes instead of coping with their sad emotions and solving them in real life instead of pretending to be ok. Most people who are the happiest on social media are miserable in real life....Quite tragic....
The show people put in front of everybody else is sad, but not as sad as what's deep within their heart, where they can't hide anymore. The clouds are a metaphor for bottled up feelings and emotions. We smile, we go on with our life, we think it's always them and not us. And this is how life passes by. And this is how hearts break and heal. And this pain never ends until two hearts turn individual suffering into healing. Together. Under the clouds.
