I wanted to paint a cat in cosmos but I changed my mind. I thought of painting a cosmic cat, the kind of cat who drinks cosmic milk because she feels like a star⭐. A bit on the fantasy side I admit. I see that with digital painting , as I have no strict requirements (yet) about what I should draw,the sky is the limit. And it is very easy for me to change my mind during a drawing and shift the whole painting. It is kind of fun for sure for my imagination, I feel I can be very creative.
I started with a sketch. It does look scary and very amateur until I add details. I went with the flow, not being very experienced myself as I just got Marty my Ipad for a couple of days.
Slowly I added more saturation to the colours.
The fur....the fur was definetely the hardest part. Getting thst texture out there is no walk in the park.
I wanted to add more vibrancy to the fur so a splash of red and pink did the work.
I added the mini can of cosmic milk at the end, without wanting to make it super realistic.
I like how this kitty turned out, it is the first feline I have drawn on Marty.
