Hola. Yo soy Lelys. Me da mucho gusto saludarlos. Hoy quiero presentarles mi creación más reciente. Elaboré dos "tapaborras divertidos". No sé si denominarlos brujitas o espantapájaros porque la verdad me senté a tejer y este fue el resultado.

Hace unos meses (quizá 12 o más) tejí unas cabezas del terror. Precisamente para usar en el día de Halloween. Las tengo guindadas en el techo de mi local. Cuando las hice mis hijos se reían y me decían que estaban feas. Sin embargo a mí me encantaron. ¿Acaso todo debe quedar bonito para que me guste? ¡No! Este es uno de esos proyectos que me encanta hacer porque me siento a tejer sin tener algo definido. Entré al local a sacudir mis creaciones allí guardadas y vi las cabezas luego sentí deseos de hacer algo parecido. Pero nada que ver, aquellas de verdad espantan.

Hi there. I am Lelys. I am very happy to greet you. Today I want to present my most recent creation. I made two "funny covers." I don't know whether to call them little witches or scarecrows because the truth is I sat down to knit and this was the result.

A few months ago (maybe 12 or more) I wove some heads of terror. Precisely to use on Halloween. I have them hanging on the roof of my shop. When I made them my children laughed and told me they were ugly. However I loved them. Does everything have to be nice for me to like it? No! This is one of those projects that I love to do because I feel like knitting without having anything defined. I went into the place to shake my creations stored there and I saw the heads then I felt like doing something similar. But nothing to see, those are really scary.

• Hilos pabilos.
• Estambre escolar.
• Aguja de crochet de 2,5 mm.
• Tijeras.
• Aguja lanera.
• Ojos locos.
• Pegamento.
• Fieltro.

• Wick threads.
• School yarn.
• 2.5mm crochet hook.
• Pair of scissors.
• Needle way.
• Crazy eyes.
• Glue.
• Felt.

PROCEDIMIENTO:

PROCEDURE:

• Empecé haciendo un anillo mágico de 6 pb. Luego realicé 6 aumentos de pb. Continué haciendo vueltas de aumento hasta tener 5 pb y 1 aumento.

• I started by making a 6 sc magic ring. Then I made 6 bp increases. Continue doing rounds of increase until I have 5 sc and 1 increase.

• Tejí 5 vueltas sin ningún tipo de aumento.

• Después empecé con las disminuciones desde 5 pb y 1 disminución.

• I knit 5 laps without any increase.

• Then I started with decreases from 5 sc and 1 decrease.

Pude haber buscado mi cuaderno de patrones propios, pero no quise. Me dejé llevar por la aguja y el hilo y fui tejiendo conforme iba dando forma a la figura. De todos modos fui anotando para recordar al momento de redactar este post.

I could have looked for my own pattern notebook, but I didn't want to. I let myself be carried away by the needle and the thread and I knitted as I was shaping the figure. Anyway I was writing down to remember at the time of writing this post.

• Coloqué el relleno antes de realizar la última vuelta de disminución. Sin sobrecargar para que pueda entrar fácilmente el lápiz allí.

• I placed the filling before making the last round of decrease. No overloading so you can easily get the pencil in there.

• Luego de rellenar realicé la última vuelta de 6 disminuciones. Inmediatamente inicié la próxima vuelta con 1 pb y 1 aumento. Continué tejiendo 6 vueltas más de sólo pb. Cerré y corté la hebra.

• After filling I made the last round of 6 decreases. I immediately started the next round with 1 sc and 1 increase. I continued working 6 more rounds of just sc. I closed and cut the strand.

Mientras preparaba el tapaborras para tomar la fotografía recordé las recomendaciones de @lauramica sobre la importancia de la luz. Por lo que saqué la lámpara de luz y realicé varias pruebas. Me fijé que la lámpara tiene luces de diferente intensidad y colores. Y allí fui probando hasta obtener la mejor foto.

While preparing the eraser to take the picture I remembered @lauramica's recommendations on the importance of light. So I took out the light bulb and ran several tests. I noticed that the lamp has lights of different intensity and colors. And there I tried to get the best photo.

• Tomé el hilo pabilo color rosado y empecé a tejer un sombrero puntiagudo. Empezando por tres vueltas de 6pb iniciando con el anillo mágico. Seguidamente realicé una vuelta de 1 pb y 1 aumento. Luego una vuelta de solo pb. En las próximas vueltas realicé una vuelta de aumento por una sin aumentos. Hasta finalizar tejiendo una vuelta de aumentos en cada punto en la vuelta número 14.

• I took the pink wick yarn and started knitting a pointed hat. Starting with three rounds of 6sc starting with the magic ring. Then I made a round of 1 sc and 1 increase. Then a round of just sc. In the next few laps I did one increase lap for one without increases. Until finished by knitting an increase round in each stitch on round number 14.

• Ahora pasé a realizar los detalles: con el hilo estambre realicé el cabello. Enrollando en un cartón un poco de hilo y cortando para lograr tener hebras largas.

• Now I went on to make the details: with the yarn I made the hair. Rolling some yarn in a cardboard and cutting to achieve long strands.

• Para finalizar coloqué los ojitos y realicé la boca bordada.

• Al principio tenía la intención de realizar el cuello del tapaborras del mismo color del sombrero, pero lo olvidé. Al empezar el segundo me dije, este si lo haré con dos colores y se me olvidó de nuevo. Así que así quedaron mis dos tapaborras divertidos.

• At first I had the intention of making the neck cover the same color as the hat, but I forgot. At the beginning of the second I said to myself, this one if I will do it with two colors and I forgot again. So that's how my two funny masks turned out.

• Al más pequeño le hice un lazo con fieltro rojo.

• I made a bow with red felt for the youngest.

Tenía deseos de usar los ojos locos que había comprado desde hace días. Confieso que son los primeros que compro desde que empecé a hacer manualidades. Los que usé antes de estos los hice yo misma con blisters de pastillas. Me fueron muy útiles.

I wanted to use the crazy eyes that I had bought for days. I confess that they are the first that I buy since I started making crafts. The ones I used before these I made myself with pill blisters. They were very useful to me.

Siempre me divierto haciendo este tipo de tejidos. Ahora a disfrutarlos.
