I figure it is long overdue as a few people have been asking about my cakes. I was digging through the various pictures and thought I would show off my Alice in Wonderland cake to everyone, as this isn’t the typical cake I do.
I am extremely proud of it as I used edible paint over fondant. Most of the cakes I do it with fondant as that is what most my customers want but this time I got to work outside the box as they call it.
I first use a tracing pencil I got from Michaels (Craft store) special for cake design and hand drew the design out. It was a tedious process and a bit of trial and error but I got it all laid out. I then started to paint. I remember it was really runny and a bit hard to work with at first. I am sure you can see in the picture with how glossy it is. Though once I got a feel for it, I was able to fly through it all.
I won’t bore you with the process but I was really proud of the cake when it was done. It did take me awhile to do and I had to take a few breaks but it turned out great!
Doing cakes just began as an interest but over time more and more people would pop by and ask me to make a cake for them. I really do love it and like I said before if I could I would do it full time! I have done everything from birthday cakes, bachelorette party cakes to baby shower cakes. I will be showing more of my work but I just have to get the pictures together.
I hope you enjoyed my Alice In Wonderland cake I made. I really enjoyed doing it and the end result was amazing. The person I made the cake for was super happy with it and that made it all the better as well.
Well thank you for taking the time out of your day to check out my post, I really appreciate it! If you don't mind leaving a comment below of what your favorite kind of cake is? Personally I love love love vanilla cake! Though a good chocolate cake is always welcomed! Hahaha
