Hello,
It has been a while since I last posted any fresh, newly created photos. It is kind of sad feeling that I can not get out and hunt beauties around. Well we can go out, but we can’t travel during this virus period, not even in our own country. I somehow miss summer when I spent a lot of time with my family just spending time around Slovenia. We visited so many nice places, which I shared with you guys here on hive as well. The situation is not going any better and all are waiting on this vaccine and hopefully than life will get back to normal again…
I miss photography and you know me by now that I mostly use my camera only on my big travels, even to use my smartphone’s camera I have to be inspired. I might have to change this and play with some objects in my house or do any other way of photography. I will see, but currently I really miss being around and do some clicks.
Well, about a week ago I anyway had the opportunity to use my smartphone while I was on the walk with my wife near to my home. Opportunity was great as we had first snow this winter season in Ljubljana. Shortly after that we received a good portion of rain and no sight of snow anymore. But in my beloved Kranjska Gora, they had 70 centimeters of snow just yesterday! It is awesome just to think on that. That made me miss trips even more. Yesterday rumor came out that our government might allow us to travel to other municipality again from this weekend on. If that will be the case, I will depart to Kranjska Gora on Sunday that is almost 100%. Just to take a walk there. And yes hopefully to get some nice shot as well. I would love to stop by at my favorite restaurant as well, but I seriously doubt they will open that as well.
Another reason for visiting Kranjska Gora and vicinity this weekend is Ski Flaying Championship happening these days in Planica. This is almost a national holiday, which gathers 30.000 Slovenians cheering for our athletes. Many of you probably don’t even know this sport, but ski jumping (or ski flying) is very interesting and it is amazing to watch human going down the slope with 100 km/h only on skies and then jump/fly 200+ meters! Crazy guys… I hope we will even see someone beat 250 meters mark. Sure I hope our nation will get some medals as well, but form is not the best, yet still our results are typically the best just in Planica.
Now I wrote a lot after a long time again. I was somehow not in form to write for the last week, just like our ski jumpers were not in form so hopefully I get back to form will help also our guys achieve great results today and in following days :)
Let me return to the beginning where I mentioned a walk with my wife and taking some photos on the way. I will share them now with you in these winter times. It was around 10 centimeters of snow, which is decent amount for Ljubljana and I enjoyed walking on it and hearing snow cracking underneath my feats :)
Where we went? To Magpie Valley in Črnuče. That is a very nice trail leading all the way to hill called Rašica, but we didn’t reach there that day (or any other days as I haven’t actually been there yet). We were on a slow walk about an hour, just to stretch our legs and breathe some fresh air. A lot to see in this short time and I really enjoyed it. I am going there often, but last time I had to take some shorts. Photography however wasn’t main purpose so photography quality is not the best. Hope you will enjoy it anyway!
