Hey everyone, well if you are anything like me the two greatest substances on earth are definitely honey and beer and combined even better, who agrees?
The above picture just a day after adding the wort (unfermented beer) to the fermenter.
As is standard just a few days later after primary fermentation the beer becomes more alcoholic and has vast colour changes as well as starts to clear.
So why do I like beer and honey? They mix so well and taste so great I guess and based on the above picture (beer) and below the honey in comparison you truly can spot the similarities right?
After processing the honey (spinning and filtering) we always put the equipment out for the bees to finish off all residual honey as they are here doing rather 'wild' in their foraging activities!
We put some of the equipment next to a catcher hive in the hope that we are able to catch a swarm, this year for some or other crazy reason only managed to catch 2 swarms to date, hoping to catch more this season.
