I have had this conversation 3 times in the past 2 days regarding how robots will supposedly benefit humanity. One lady was speaking about how if you are just too tired you will be able to have the robot finish up for you. Another spoke about how jobs will get done more effectively with fewer mistakes and cheaper costs to companies.
Sadly to me this all seems very negative. Recently a video was posted about a robot doing back flips. I cant do back flips, can you? Already there is a robot that can do something I cannot, now that is scary.

So lets looks and see - They develop a robot who can pack shelves/preform surgery/sell/fix things better than you. What does that mean? well simply you have no job. This also means that school is now pointless, as why study to be a doctor when a robot can just do it for you. If we allow ourselves to become lazy enough we eventually will not exist, because a robot will do everything for us. Eventually we will digress to a stage where we will be fed and bathed by these machines because we are 'just to tired' to do it ourselves.
So no, I do not see any positives coming from AI Robots taking over and doing the jobs that we as humanity can do for ourselves.
I feel the only way possible to incorporate robots into our daily lifestyles is by having them work along side us instead of for us.
