Hi all,

Gonna start with the first post about my little outdoors garden. It might get a bit long as I`m gonna try and introduce all of them.

That's a group picture of them. Please ignore the dodgy fence, it's in the list of things to be fixed or replaced later this year or early next year.

On the left, there's our Christmas tree. We've had for about 4 or 5 years now, I don't remember exactly when we bought it but it's a trooper surviving Christmas after Christmas. Next to it we've got Figbert, the fig tree.

I'm training Figbert, if you're wondering what those pipes and wood are doing there, I want to grow it on 2 sides so I can keep track of the fruiting branches year after year and to aid with the future pruning. Last year Figbert gave us 7 figs and we were really grateful for them, but this year I`ve learned a new thing about him; it seems Figbert, unlike me, is a perfectionist and decided that this year he's going to give us just the one perfect fruit. 20170529_120142[1].jpg

Here we`ve got my strawberry patch. Half of them are growing in an old waste water pipe that my next door neighbour wanted to chuck away. All of those plants came from 6 individual plants that I bought last year and I've saved some of their runners. 20170529_114657[1].jpg
This one is the first strawberry we're going to have from the garden this year, it will be fully ripened by the end of today I think.

Now, I'm pretty excited about these ones, I've never seen strawberries with red/pink flowers before but I found them in a shop and couldn't resist having them. I've already started rooting their first runners so by next year I expect to have another water pipe with red flowered strawberries.

These are some herbs, got a few rosemary plants, 2 different varieties; I am trying to grow one in the shape of a tree as you can see. On the left you can see my Bay Brothers, they will need proper names at some point. And in the background there's Stella the cherry tree. Stella needs to be tied down a bit as it exploded with new growth recently and I want to grow her as an espalier tree. 20170529_120206[1].jpg
I've allowed both of my thyme plants to go to flower, I know people say the tastes changes and you should not let them flower but they're too pretty and the bees love them! Of of them has blue flowers and the other one bright white ones.

I'll stop here as this is post is getting a bit long for my taste and I don't really want the TL;DR comments to show up, hehe.

Cheers for taking the time to scroll through and feel free to ask any questions.

Cos.
