I also rolled my eyes with the entire broken ankle hopper storyline. Overall I did really enjoy this season (more so than the previous 2 seasons actually) even though the entire plot isn't that consistent. I really liked Maxine this season especially the 2 scenes where she was floating. The nostalgia factor also does a lot for the show. From what I heard, Season 5 will be the final season and it will take place in the 90's. They also are planning to milk the Stranger Things ip with some spinoff shows that are planned.

The structure 2 volumes with long episodes and the 2nd volume with 2 extremely long episodes kind of worked for me. I'm looking forward to what they will come up with to conclude the story.
