Hello Friends!

Last week I celebrated two big milestones - hitting 2,000 followers and hitting 65 reputation. I decided to throw a party and throw around SBD like it was confetti!!

There were two parts to my giveaway...

First - I gave 5 SBD each to a select group of people I wanted to thank. I thanked my 2,000th follower, my top 5 supporters, my boyfriend for introducing me to the platform, and my most loyal commenter with 5 SBD each.

Second - I asked people to tag one of their favorite Steemains to "bring them to the party" and tell them why they appreciated them so much. I said I would pick my FIVE favorite comments and send them each 5 SBD! Man you guys made it hard on me... there were so many awesome comments of people celebrating other Steemians!

Who's winning SBD?

Ok, so I wasn't totally clear on whether I would give the 5 SBD to the person who wrote the comment... or to the person who was awesome enough to be nominated. There was a bit of confusion on that so I decided to do the right thing.

I'm DOUBLING the SBD I'm giving away from the contest.

I decided to send 5 SBD to both the person who wrote the comment, and to the person that was nominated. I was going to give away 25 SBD tonight... and now i'm giving out 50! BOOM! Honestly, it's the least I can do to thank all of you for investing in me every day. :)

@littlescribe nominated @roundhere - I LOVED that she mentioned @roundhere always leaves such great comments and provides really sincere contributions to anything she touches here on Steemit. You guys know how much I love great comments and meaningful conversations - so this really hit home for me!
@diebitch nominated @nobyeni - In her comment she mentioned that even though they live thousands of miles apart, they just get each other. I LOVED this because isn't that what this platform is all about?? Connecting with people from all over the world? ALSO, they have met in person! When @diebitch was traveling through Europe - they met in person. How cool is that?
@knowledge-seeker nominated @mericanhomestead - Guess what? @knowledge-seeker came to Steemit because @mericanhomestead talked about Steemit on his popular YouTube channel. Ummmm... that's amazing and I LOVED this story! It just shows how Steemit is spreading it's wings and getting more exposure in different channels!
@scottshots nominated @gabyoraa - They are both super talented photographers and bonded on their common passion - even though they live in different parts of the world! I love that @scottshots is going out of his way to find fellow photographers and support them here on the platform. To me... that's the definition of an awesome Steemian!
@crowbarmama nominated @gringalicious - Ok you guys... I freaking LOVE @crowbarmama... she posts tons of great content from healthy food recipes to fun music videos with her kids! She actually just posted one of her original songs on Dsound yesterday... and I would highly recommend you guys check it out. It had so much beautiful, raw emotion.
OK... back to the comment! What I loved about this nomination is that they live in a similar geographic region and @gringalicious invited her to a local meetup and really took the time to give her advice and help her out! How cool is that?? I love that one of our top Steemians is taking the time to meetup with and mentor people in her local area. I seriously love them both!

THANK YOU to everyone who gave accolades to their favorite Steemians in this contest! I loved reading through all of your comments and this was honestly a really hard decision! Once this post goes live - i'll be sending 5 SBD to each of the 10 people above!
