Hello all you fellow Steemians!.....and especially those who love cats!
So, if you followed part 1 where I talked about how well we cats hear, then as a recap-our hearing is similar to humans in the lower registry of sound, but we have the ability to hear high end sound much, much better! As I previously mentioned, my human sings and plays the flute. Below is her flute and one that looks like it got run through the washer on hot and dried on high. She calls that one a piccolo. The flute has the ability to make me run for the hills! It's not because she doesn't play well...she does! The sound is high pitched and since I hear everything amplified, it's much more than I want to hear!
And.....then enters the piccolo! That is EVEN HIGHER pitched! I don't hang around at all and if I could get ear plugs into my kitty ears, I would!
I've heard her say the flute is a Gemeinhardt which she will tell you plays like warm butter. I'm not sure what butter is, so I don't know if that's true, but I will take her at her word. The little one is an Emerson. She says something about them being sterling silver as well, but I just know they sure are shiny!
Well, I've got to run......heading down to the local store to see if I can find some ear plugs that fit my kitty ears!
