Today, I had an unexpected and fun encounter with some goats. And as I took a few photos, I wanted to share them here, in the Amazing Nature community.
This morning, after dropping my son off at his school. I went to a nearby bakery to meet a friend. At this bakery, there is a small outdoor car park. As I got out of the car, I was surprised to hear a goats' bleating boisterously. As I looked up the wall of the car park, against the side of a small hill. I saw on a small ground what appeared to be a family of goats. Of course, I couldn't help but get close enough to photograph them.
When I approached, one of the goats, a very funny goat indeed, while still bleating, was practically posing for the pics. And I would have loved to have my friend 
Goats have always seemed to me to be mischievous and friendly animals. And in Spanish, we usually use the expression, "está como una cabra". To say that a person is half crazy. And it is that goats have a reputation for being a bit crazy. But from what I have read, they are very intelligent animals.
Apparently, they have a very good memory. They can communicate and recognize the bleating of their kids even when they have been separated from them for a year.
Also, something really curious is that not all goat bleats are the same. They can make different sounds and have different accents, depending on where they are born and raised. Of course, I can't help but wonder if Eddie Wildlife (
As a last curiosity about goats, the pupils of their eyes are rectangular. And I wonder if that is why they have that crazy expression like my new friend the photogenic goat.
