Investigating the tunnel for clues, I killed a snake and discovered a yellow cross marking the traitor's path. Following the paint trail past a troubled farmer and field rats, I navigated a confusing intersection. Then I found a paint bucket at the riverbank before utilizing Synin to scout.
Soma wanted me to check on her advisors and find out who the traitor is. But I decided to check on the tunnel first to look for any clue, stepping carefully into the damp, dark passage to search for evidence left behind during the attack.
While I was passing the tunnel, suddenly this snake came in my way with a hissing sound. Fortunately, it couldn't bite me and then I shot it down with an arrow, drawing my bow quickly to pin the reptile to the dirt before it could strike.
After getting to the outskirts of the tunnel, I noticed a painted cross on a big rock and a vision told me about this tunnel leads to the longhouse and the traitor marked it with a yellow cross then opened the way and led them in.
So, Eivor realized the traitor must have exited with a few more, heading away towards the riverbank. So I started running towards the riverbank following those yellow paints.
On my way to the riverbank, I found this farmer who should be happy for getting a good amount of crops, but he was sad because big rats messed up with his crops. I talked with him, hoping I'd be able to help him in a way, but I didn't have an option, so I left him to tend to his damaged fields alone.
I continued my run to the riverbank, and I noticed those big rats the farmer was talking about on my way, and they escaped right after seeing me.
I kept following the yellow paintings on my way, and then I reached this four-way intersection where I got confused which way to follow next, pausing briefly to scan the ground for any faint traces of the yellow pigment leading down the split paths.
I tried my eagle vision to check where I should go, and when I was close to the riverbank, I found a statue on fire, and Eivor mentioned he had dreamed of fire and ruin. So he was confused if he was awake or still sleeping.
Then after getting to the riverbank, I found this bucket of yellow paint that Eivor realized someone hauled all the way down to the riverbank, and they quickly painted a longship beached there before sailed off with allies to help to the vessel, confirming a boat was used for the escape.
And then I called Synin, my raven, to check around for that longship. But after flying around, I didn't find anything of that sort. So I realized I had to get to the advisors of Soma, to prepare for a direct interrogation of her inner circle.
That's all for now.
