After Frigg engaged the mysterious lady and more demons spawned, Surtr initiated his final duel with Havi. Surtr's fire attacks and surrounding lava proved exceptionally lethal, killing Havi quickly. Restarting outside the throne room, I bypassed the cutscene to attack again, only for Surtr to knock me back into the lava.
Havi accepted the challenge, declaring to Surtr that they should make this their final battle. Frigg was ready top attack the demon lady, though she looked far tougher than any ordinary demons.
More demons erupted from the stone floor, and it looked like those demons and the demon lady planned to take Frigg outside the perimeter, leaving the throne room entirely to Surtr and Havi.
Surtr taunted that none of them were fated to die today before unleashing a sweeping projectile strike straight at me. I managed to dodge the initial wave and jumped into the offensive, driving my weapon into the giant.
I understood to win against Surtr, I required constant movement and dodging, as even grazing against Surtr was setting me ablaze. Surtr landed a heavy strike and shoved me directly into the surrounding lava pool, killing me instantly. It was a clear warning that one wrong step meant a miserable death.
The game restarted outside the entrance to the king's palace throne room. I interacted with the heavy doors to step inside, skipped the cinematic cutscene, and immediately engaged Surtr in combat.
Havi called out that Baldr was his son, fighting with everything he had to save the boy. Facing a vision this powerful proved far more challenging than expected. Surtr possessed immense strength, and only Havi's boosted health bar allowed him to survive direct hits from the giant's weapon.
Just as I started finding a rhythm and landing solid combos, Surtr countered with a brutal knockback, throwing me back into the molten lava and ending the attempt instantly.
With this defeat, I got a life lesson about the duel that I'd have to stay as close as I can from the molten lava cause it doesn't matter how well I'm fighting or how much health I have, I die if I fell in the lava.
