The Picture Of Creativity

As I worked in the ventilated parlor of Mrs. Elliott, what I saw first was a painting I made. I was so shocked to have seen it as it's been five years now since I made it. Then, I sold it for a little token but at this moment it can cost more than expected. It was a fine painting and the best of its kind.

Hi Mrs. Elliott!!! Good day ma'am… I greeted.

It was noon and the sun was coming with intense heat. In her parlor, there was an air-conditioning that was placed beside the ceiling and directly opposite a couch. I could not hold it but drift just like an ion drifting from the negative electrode to the positive electrode. It was just so unique and special sitting under air-conditioning. I felt relaxed and was wondering how my painting got to Mrs. Elliott's parlor.

She replied with a calm voice.

My friend, Mrs. Winfull told me about how perfect you are when it comes to the aspect of the artwork. I hope I got the right person. I have been in the town looking for Mr perfect but was unable to get one. The one I got was so sure of himself not until I found the worst out of him. To get it cleared, the object I gave to him to paint was painted so badly and did not match my taste. He charged me so high and indeed the money was not the problem but the painting was so important.

Since I have known the kind of woman she is, I decided to answer her just the way she would like. Before I entered the house, I weighed the kind of money I'm going to get from her and the kind of person she might be. So, these were the factors I considered. The house was so nice and was so beautiful and the surrounding was just like paradise which got me to the conclusion that I must make something perfect for her. I have never seen a parlor like this ever in my life. How can I resist giving her my best?

I have painted so much work as this is what I do for a living. I discovered my talent when I was in secondary school and I started painting as this was my calling. So many people had tried hard to make their living but were unable to discover who they are just like the one who did the wrong painting.

I was trying to make her get carried away, and not also praising myself too much.

So, ma'am, I'm in for it and you will by the grace of God love my painting. So, what should I paint for you, ma'am?

I asked honorably.

The only painting that kept me up to this moment is this painting right there. It has made my day always great as I have been lonely all in this wide Mansion. My husband left me five years ago and this painting was the only thing he cherished so much. This was the reason I cannot remove my eyes from this painting because it reminds me of my late darling. Mrs. Elliott said smoothly.

But ma'am, you did not tell me where you got this painting from. I'm just eager to know. It's a fine painting and indeed the person did a great job here.
I asked.

Oh…. You are right. I got this painting from my best friend, Mrs. Winfull. She presented it to my husband when he was given a political appointment six years ago before his demise.
Mrs. Elliott said.

Still in the realm of gazing at the magnificent parlor. I said to myself "if the parlor is as beautiful as this, then how would the room look like? I kept on wondering and got carried away.

She continued,
Since this painting was his favorite, I decided to keep it so close to my heart. Nothing would happen to it or else I would not take it lightly. Mrs. Elliott said.

Ma'am, may I say this to you? This painting is a symbol of my handiwork. I made this to Mrs. Winfull. It was that same year she asked me to make this painting for her as she was fully aware of my creativity.

After hearing this, she was amazed and was so happy as she had met the one she had been looking for.

Wow…. I'm so happy to have found one with a great act of creativity in painting. You did a nice job and I want to make another painting for my son whose birthday is a few days from now. Hope you can do it. Can you guarantee me a good job? She asked.

I can try my best to give you what you truly wanted in the next two days. I said to her, calmly.

In exactly two days I delivered the job she gave to me. I was confident of my handiwork and so was unshakable. She opened it and after gazing at her look, I began to say within myself that I had done the wrong painting. Her facial appearance after opening the painting shows that I was not the best she was looking for. After a few minutes, she said to me:

Son… well done. This is what I truly wanted. You just made my day great. My son will love this as a gift. Thanks a lot. Just give me your Aza. I will forward some money to your account.

Within ten minutes, I saw what I have not received in my life.
