Dancing has been her hubby right from childhood and she always loves doing this in secret since her parents did not support her career. She did not relent on her career but kept on pushing ahead to make out success from it but will she be able to break through this? Will she be able to succeed in her vision? Would her parents not be a stopping block to deprive her of her dreams? These are questions she needs to defeat.

Maria is a young girl and her parents' names are Mr and Mrs Henry. Mr Henry loves his daughter so much and does not want to see anything or harmful substances around his daughter, Maria. Maria is a talented girl and gifted with all kinds of talents. She never had the mind of relenting in all the areas she is good at. While in school, her teachers wanted her to go to science class but little did they know that she had other plans of diverting to art class. This is where I'm good at and where I can perform better according to where my mind is leading me. Maria said to herself.

It was a shock to her teachers who had been wanting her in the science class. She has told her father the course she wants to go for and her father is in support of her. She has a friend who always works in line with her and is also talented just like Maria. She is Bunmi from a decent home. Her character put her in a higher place in the mind of her parents. She also went to art class just like her friend Maria. They are ever ready to make good results in college. Maria and Bunmi are always seen together and are always reading together.

One fateful day, Maria had to reveal to her friend that she is not ready to study the course she has in mind that her passion is to go dancing since this is what she loves doing best apart from studying in school. One day, her school was invited to a dancing competition where they were looking for three dancers in the whole school. They could not see anyone. Maria was shy and at the same time was afraid of her parents knowing the fact that she is a dancer. She is not ready to display her talent now but maybe sometimes when she gets to the higher institution. She kept on hiding it for that moment until her friend Bunmi gave her the courage to step out of her shell to grab her talent. She listened to her friend but then she needed to confide in one of her teachers. Mr Mark was ever ready to be her coach.

The competition was on and Maria left for the competition without telling her parents. She lied to our parents that she was going to follow her mates who are going to a dancing competition in a nearby City since it is their school who are participating. So, Maria's dad permitted her to go to the competition. Maria left for the competition after lots of practice. They are to stay for just a day for the first stage.

It's time for the competition and the first school was called out to perform. After their performance, it was time for Maria's school to perform and behold, Maria came out to dance. The crowd shouted her name and she began to feel somehow as this news might get to her parents' hearings. She came up to dance and indeed she first checked up the crowd to see if she could see someone who knew her through her parents but God was so kind, there was no one like that.

Maria danced so well. Without a doubt, her tactics of dancing were exceptional. Maria was the best dancer among all the dancers that went to the competition. She took the first position to qualify her to the semifinals.

Maria went home happy and her face was filled with joy. The father asked her about the result of the dancing competition they went to. Maria said to his dad that her school was picked to participate in the semifinals. The dad smiled and congratulated her. Wow...what a great school and best dancer that you people have in your school. I congratulate you on your hard work. Maria's dad said to her. Maria was surprised and asked the dad why he was praising her instead of her school, but he said that at least it's still your school and it doesn't matter who participated in the competition. So, anyone can be celebrated as far as he or she is from the school that took such a position. I understand dad, now I got your point.

When she got to school the following day, everyone in her school was proud of her including her teachers. Maria was the talk of her school. So, when it was time for the next round that will qualify her to finals, she also told her dad the same story as before and indeed Mr Henry allowed her to go for the competition as an observer. They got to the dancing ground and she was happy to have gotten to this stage. Now it was time to introduce those at the high table, to her surprise she heard the name of her dad. She was shocked got distracted and does not want to go to the dance any longer. There was no other option other than for her to either dance or their school would be disqualified. She has another plan to use a mask but then her name will be echoed to the heating of her father. How will she do this was the problem. Unfortunately, her dad's phone rang and he stood up to answer the call and did not show up again. Then it was announced that Mr Henry got an emergency call and would not be present. She was so happy.

After this day, they qualified for the final round. She was so happy and took the news home. She asked her dad, why did you leave and why is it that you did not tell me you will be present? I was just told just after you have left and I could now resist instead attending. So, how did it go? Maria's dad asked Maria. It went on successfully as our school again qualified for the finals. This means we have defeated all the States and we are now left with just one state. Maria told her dad. Mr Henry smiled while giving her daughter a lovely and surprising look.

In the finals, Maria was praying for her dad not to be present in the show, but to her surprise, his name was once again mentioned and was taken to the high table. This time Maria had no choice but told her coach that she just needed to quit. Her coach Mr Mark smiled and begged her not to quit, but she has already made up her mind. Their rivals danced and it was their turn. Her school name was mentioned but yet they did not come out just because of Maria's dad. Her dad went to the stage himself to call out the names of the competitors that came to her school. After mentioning some names, he added "I knew you thought I'm not aware that you have been coming for the competition. I knew that you thought I may not support you, but just come out now because this dad of yours loves you so much and can support your every word".

She was so happy after hearing her dad's speech. She immediately rushed to the stage with her dancing partners. Mr Henry was happy seeing the kind of dance her daughter had danced. He stood up while her daughter was dancing to his surprise. He began to clap and started hailing her daughter by calling her name. This gave Maria more energy to dance more and indeed her school took first and she was given the scholarship to study abroad in any course of her choice. She was so happy as well as the dad. They took the news to her mum, Mrs Henry and she initially pretended by shouting at her daughter for going for what they did not support. After some minutes, she began to smile and hugged Maria. She congratulated her.

Maria was given lots of respect in her school and all her mates were happy about her victory as the school was given a huge amount of money. Maria was so happy and got to celebrate her victory with her friend, Bunmi as well as her coach as her parents took them to the beach to have some fun.

Allowing your child to go for her choice, of course, is important as this will make him or her be at his or her best and peak. This is when you can be able to get the best out of such a child.
