My Nigeria Is My Pride
Today my Nigeria completed 61 years of age. It has been a great pleasure being a Nigerian. Nigeria has countless numbers of improvements and also has a very large landmass. We are a blessed country and blessed with youths who are ready to use any opportunity to create exploits. In Nigeria, we have talented youths who have the zeal to work when there is an opportunity.
Although, we have stayed in this country by struggling for ourselves and survival while some people are out there siphoning the national money. Inflation of all the items in the country making ordinary citizens finding it difficult to survive.
Despite the struggles, we still find it easy to survive. The fact remains that, we are producing cement in this country but buying it at a higher amount while the countries who buy from us are buying at a very lower amount. This is what we call cheating. Despite that, we are still surviving and at least there is a roof above our head.
We are @61 and yet seeing no development except for those who are struggling to survive. With all these, I can still say that corruption is not just in my dear country, but it is in every country. There is no government without corruption.
A land of mineral resources: Nigeria has the finest mineral resources and most especially that of crude oil in the realm of Africa and the whole world at large. We are blessed with the gift of nature which comes in the form of minerals are natural gas, tin, iron ore, coal, limestone, niobium, lead, zinc and arable land.
A land filled with countless cultures: We have different cultures here in Nigeria since there are different tribes. Some cultural events are celebrated with joy and gladness. Some are truly festivals which are celebrated as a means of tourism coming from afar and even from other countries to watch the cultural celebration. It's another means of bringing people together in a Community.
We have the Yoruba culture
They have countless cultures in Yoruba. Their mode of dressings look unique and indeed perfect with a true picture of culture. They believed in culture.
The Igbo culture
There are many events related to culture in Igbo land ranging from the new yam festivals to other aspects.
The Hausa
The Hausas are other kinds of people filled with unique ways of dressing. When you see them, you do not doubt that they are from the said place just because of their dressings.
A land full of beauty: Nigeria is a land of beauty and a place where people come for tourism. When you move to Lagos, there are many things to reckon with which range from roads and other beautiful scenes. The citizens living in it are black beauties. We are all handsomely and beautifully made. Those who came from afar are always jealous of the beauty they saw here, in Nigeria. When you move to some states, such as Rivers State, there are lots of beautiful scenes. In Edo state, we have beautiful statues which portray some important events.
A land full of talents: If I may say, Nigeria is a land that is filled with different talents. We.are blessed extremely with the gifts of talents. When you travel to the computer village in Lagos, you will see Nigerians showcasing their talents. There is nothing they cannot produce and manufacture. Everything that comes their way, they are capable of producing. Some Time ago, I went to Lagos to print my students' sportswear in a press where they produced different types of Jessy. What I saw was wonderful. I got to know that Nigerians are blessed with numerous talents which they used to create exploits. There were different types of Jessy ranging from clubs to clubs. Before the beginning of the season, they might have made the exact type of Jessy. This is to tell you the kind of talents we have right here in Nigeria. A land of greatness and a gifted land.
Nigeria is a beautiful country and filled with great minds.
I'm proud to be a Nigerian
