Delilah's Downfall

Words, you wouldn't know your impact on someone with the words you speak. It might all seem like mere words without emotions but you do not know who you hurt with those mere words.

For me, it was just going to the internet to comment on things and spiral out things that weren't true. Not knowing the effects it had on the lives of others and now I have to pay dearly for it because those who I have offended are back for revenge and I have lost everything I have ever worked hard for and laboured for. Even with my mother's teaching and my father's strict discipline, I had an interest in knowing the secrets. There was always a thrill in knowing the dirty secrets of the celebrities, knowing what the elegant popular people do behind closed doors. And because of my poke nosing problem I had,
and now I am suffering from all these and also innocent ones like my momma and poppa are now partaking in the repercussion.

It all started six months ago. I was a normal troll on the internet, Instagram to be precise with the username, sniperlily@sniperlily_207. I made it my job to go on the internet and attack celebrities with different scandals. I never knew the impact it had on their personal life and professional career until I blogged about the famous Delilah Norbert, the famous actress known nationwide. Unbeckonest to me, I ruined her career and she sought revenge to ruin mine. I mean, she did. She made sure I lost my job, accomodation, and the most wicked of all, she got my savings account frozen.

My nightmare had started after I had a glimpse of the star, Delilah Norbert getting down from a red strange car, rushing into a small cottage in Clifford town, a ghetto with second hand smoke from smokers and exhaust smoke every, which coincidentally happened to be the same place where my best friend lived. In my quest to kill the mystery in my head, I decided to spy on the queen of drama, Delilah. Even with my asthma issue, I risked it and followed her in. With her detective skills, she squeezed herself into the small room just an ear away from the scene. Delilah, like she was suspicious about someone trailing her, she whispered to the man in the room but to my advantage hearing. After a few minutes of their discussion, she kissed him slightly and left.

In my conclusion I realized Delilah Nobert was an infidel in her marriage to her rich famous husband Wyatt Nobert. I quickly calculated the amount of money a lot of entertainment magazines would be willing to pay for a first-hand-news from me and also the millions of followers I would have on my social media handle. It was one thing to be famous, and another to be internet famous. As smart as I was, I was quick to take a few pictures for evidence.p

The news about Delilah Nobert spread like wildfire around the world from my social media handle @Sniperlily_20. Each night marked a higher amount of money as a very famous magazine, Blitz and the World, invited me for a one on one interview. I was finally rich and reached the highest of all internet milestones.

Unknowingly to me, that single need had ruined the life of Delilah and everything concerning it. Her billionaire husband, Wyatt had a deeper investigation about the issue and his fears about the rumours was revealed. Delilah was having an affair with a local riff raff and was on the verge of draining every single dollar he had worked so hard to achieve in his life. Without wasting time, he filed a divorce, stripped her off every property she had, not to include the public embarrassment and the seizing of all her exotic cars and condos. Rumours even said that he had ordered his bodyguards to take her down beyond recognition.

Delilah Nobert was also a shame to the movie industry at large. All her contracts were annulled for unreasonable reasons and no one called her for any available jobs. Soon, she became a shadow of herself and also a laughing stock.

When I realized all this, I began to fear the outcome of everything I've done to her. Even after her threat of dealing with whoever Sniperlily_207 was on her handle on Twitter. Nightmares of her ever terminating my life clouded my steps. Although I had acquired more money than any blogger could in a lifetime, I saw my shadow chasing me wherever I was. I never realized how foolish what I have done was.

To cut the long story short, I was fired from the blogging company I worked in. Why? Suppose the handiwork of Delilah. My boss had said that I was too "famous" for him to handle and that the havoc I had caused to the woman was enough to ruin the company. Like a chain of ill luck, my new duplex was set on fire by an unknown person. Everything I had was gradually disappearing from my eyes. My parents far away in Germany were attacked by unknown gunmen. All my friends had tried to console me, telling me it was ill luck that would soon come to an end. My worries began to cloth my sense of reasoning. What if she tried to kill me? What if things turned bad to worse? It wasn't my fault or was it? Everyone soon realized how much trouble I had started to run away from me.

Few months later I had a heart attack and had to live in a remote village in Africa. I am still scared and worried for my life.
