Good day and evening to all my friendos on the blockchain!
Use head or earphones plz.
Ramble coming at you!
How's your apocalypse going? I have to say that quite a bit has changed.
I've cut off a lot of people over the last few weeks. Some people, I've known my entire life. I grew up where I live, mostly and...the place hasn't been the same in a very long time. Most decent people have moved away or are way too busy to hang. Those who have remained are flakes, junkies and imagination invalids. Or worse.
The people that are supposed to my friends and family are all disappointments. I'm more alone in my own hometown than a new place.
As discussed briefly on my previous post, I'm relocating to a different part of the country. Gonna take the North East by storm! Very, very excited.
Meanwhile, my city's fate as far as opening back up will be decided today. Depending on how today goes, I can expect to be back at work next week...or I will have to continue working from home for a few more weeks. Which I honestly wouldn't mind in the slightest. I'm loving this. Introversion powers ACTIVATE!
However...Holy shit have the restrictions and procedures gotten so much more strict.
I tried going to the grocery for some tea yesterday and there was this weird, long fucked up line security was letting in, one at a time, like at a nightclub x3
It was silly.
I can only imagine what working in a coffee shop will be like...
First world problems, right?
There's some footage of the long line in the video posted above. Speaking of which, on to the song!
Catatonia, my absolute favorite song to play.
It's long, true...I thought about shortening it to my usual 3/4 minute amount, but for some reason, it just feels right. And compared to some songs from RocknRoll History {Pink Floyd, Doors, Led Zeppelin, Beatles...not that I'm comparing myself to them..}, 7 minutes is nothing.
It's challenging to record, as you will hear in some of my rhythmic slip ups. I did my best and still, I think it came out fucking raw! RAW! RAWWWWWWW!
I've been writing more and more lyrics. It's so exciting when the songs really come together and completed.
I don't know if I have quite the right set up to achieve the sort of vocals I hope to...not yet. It's almost here :3 An upgrade will be coming in the months ahead.
I've so enjoyed these last 6 weeks. It's been so nice getting paid by the government to stay at home and create. I wish it could last longer. I think of it as a sort of artistic bootcamp. Some have been saying they're afraid they're going to lose their creative streak if they go back to work. I say that's bullshit. It's entirely up to you how productive you are. Even if it's just practice. You have the control, you have the power and you have the ability. Some of us function on being miserable, I suppose...and not just...taking fucking control, not to beat a dead horse.
This song goes out to anyone causing harm where there doesn't need to be any. All those passive aggressive little bitches who can't speak their mind. This goes out to anyone who's ever been wronged and there hasn't been anything done about it. It's enough to make someone catatonic. Hence the title :3
Hope you all really, really like it.
I hope you to churn out at least two more tracks before going to work. We'll see what happens. I'll do my best not to let you down. Definitely one more this week! I give you my word!
See you in the funnies.
