Hello, fellow esteemed musicians and listeners alike!
I have a story.
I meant to have another song up several days ago, but I was having a real problem getting the sound I wanted. To be honest, that's why I've been having such a difficult time uploading until just recently. But my very good friendo, @davidfar , recommended a wonderful plug in that virtually solved the problem out right.
Before, I was using my Squier Contemporary HSS plugged into my Boss DS 1 Pedal, which went into my audio interface, which went into my computer. I'm working on FL Studio on Windows. And I was achieving this sound that was just absolute shit. First minute or so of the video.
And then I downloaded the very fucking awesome plug in Bias FX 2
Oh my GOD
THIS PLUG IN CAN DO ANYTHING DUDE
YOU DONT EVEN UNDERSTAND.
The VST change begins after 1:06 or so...
It's got every effect imaginable. Everything from Overdrives, EQ, Distortion, Chorus, Flanger, Delay, Vibrato, Tremolo... You name it, they've got it. You can achieve a whole bunch of sound. I got what I believe was the 60 dollar version, but I expect I'll be investing in one of the more expanded packs. If you've got a home studio and you're having a difficult time getting that tone you like, this is perfect for you. Just a little advice: Go big or go home. It's a better investment in the long run.
I could go on for paragraphs all of the awesome shit you can do in this software. Do consider getting it, even if you're a bass player or any other musician. It does wonders. It even makes vocals sounds better.
I would of had a new song out for you all today, but I've literally spent the entire day setting the programs up and experimenting with the literal dozens of different sounds and getting everything working. At the very least, I made a video demonstrating the before and after.
What do you guys think? Notice a difference?
Hope this helps someone!
See you tomorrow.
I mean it!
