I am a network engineer and information technology consultant by trade, though in recent years I've taken an interest in blockchain/cryptocurrency, and how these two fields will inter-operate going forward. I have a number of advanced certifications in IT, including the Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), along with an MS degree in IT management from the University of Oregon. I have plied my trade all over the world, including locations, such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Philippines, Djibouti, and the Pacific Northwest United States. I also post to a personal blog, but have decided to create another one dedicated to information technology, networking, and blockchain infrastructure, since I already own a domain for my consulting business.

In the past you would say things that came together had achieved convergency, where now you would simply say they have achieved convergence. Convergence directly relates to internetworking, as it occurs when a routed network has achieved a stable state in terms of its routing; it is said to have converged, or achieved convergence.
