For the first time ever, doctors at a hospital in Israel have taken sample cells from an injured man, and used them to regrow a missing piece that was removed from his shin-bone after an accident. The process is described as culturing and isolating components of sample fat cells, then re-injecting and regrowing them into a fully formed bone inside the patient's body. Because they were grown from the patient's own cells, there is no concern of rejection.
