As you can see above the Bitcoin Private / ZClassic team have updated their pre-fork roadmap. It looks like launch of the test net or public fork simulation as they are calling it has been delayed by a week and pushed to next weekend instead of this weekend.
The alpha for the Bitcoin Private Electrum wallet was released yesterday. This shows they are making progress. I still feel good about this coin in the short term.
If you would like to get in on Bitcoin Private I recommend you pickup some ZClassic prior to the fork on Bittrex:

The fork will take a snapshot of both the Bitcoin and ZClassic blockchains for creation of the Bitcoin Private genesis block.
