Yesterday's birthday run

It's been darn cold here in South East Queensland this week. So as we headed out the door for a mid afternoon run I had to don several layers just to make it comfortable. I was colourful to say the least. 😂

Conveniently the pair of "as new" Merrell Trail Gloves arrived at my front door around lunchtime which meant I could wear these bright green, barefoot-style shoes for my first run as a 41 year old. 🙌

Brad (@new.things) spotted an awesome photo opportunity on the way home. He does this a lot. He has such a good eye for what will work. He's so good at making me look good. 😊

Four easy kilometres on mostly wide fire trail, done! We cruised jogging most of it and walking just a few of the hills. Seems fair after Brad had already done 20K steps for the day before this run! 😉

I dub this a successful start to my personal new year. 💗
