As we pulled into the driveway yesterday afternoon, Brad and I were both wide-eyed, curiously looking at the garden to see how much it had grown.
Many of the things we'd cut right back only a month before we left had exploded with new growth.
But the most impressive thing we found were the pumpkins.
There were, maybe, two smallish plants before we left that totalled perhaps three or four metres.
Now?
Now I can't even tell how many plants there are, but there are at least two varieties of pumpkin, with several "fruit" (I think that's the right word?) on them...
And however many plants there are they are covering many, MANY square metres.
It's pretty incredible.
The next thing to do will be figure out when those "fruit" are ready to be harvested and then...
Then I need to decide whether I'm roasting them, making soup out of them, and baking pumpkin pie. What do you think?
